Day 2
Nepalese Greetings

Typically this is the welcome one receives in Nepal, it sets a wonderful tone for the day.

Spent the morning working on technology in readiness for our forthcoming visit to the Hands with Hands projects. Erin's support with this has been the key to moving forward. The aim is to bring in other components to my posts during the course of this visit.

Such was the enthusiasm around the above project we felt it necessary to set up 'The Studio' within our hotel room. The walk in wardrobe received a makeover as the power source there was much stronger. Hope you like it - we do.

The Studio - Toasting our new playground.

Then walked into Thamel to source items for our road trip. Was surprised at the construction progress made to roads and buildings in this area. The following image was a common site in 2012 - but not now. Fascinating to see the scaffolding used in construction in Nepal.

Construction of office and residential block.

Not sure if we were heading in the right direction? One of the Nepali gentlemen asked directions disclosed from this 'brief encounter' that he worked as an Economic Analyst Consultant whose undergraduate degree was in Agriculture which was obtained in India. These are the wonderful moments that make up the mosaic of Nepalese generosity - so willing to assist.

We then parted ways.
