Day 7

Peace Pagoda -
Buddhist Stupa Visit

We departed Lakeside in Pokhara aboard two local crafts and glided across the Lake to where we climbed up to the Peace Pagoda. The setting was beautiful and restful. The following images captures some of that journey.

 Rafael, Narline and Nina.

Buddhist Monks at the ceremony.

Viti at the Stuppa.

Erin having lunch at Stupa following the ceremony.

Afternoon/Evening
A surprise birthday celebration for Sarada which was so very special to be part of at the Annapurna Childrens Home. Kira had arranged a visit to The Farm with Sarada so that the children could prepare with the mothers working at the orphanage for this celebration which was overflowing with joy. The surprise for the children was Sarada tossing lollies after the Happy Birthday tribute.

Kira, Viti and Sarada.

Sharing a meal with children and mothers who work at the orphanage.

Enjoying their birthday evening meal.

The end of what was another very special day. The synergy of this visit has provided insight and opportunities not anticipated. That is what I love about being in Nepal and easing into the flow of how things operate here. Connecting and travelling with Kira on this visit has opened up new insights, learning and layers that make up Hand with Hands projects, partnerships and cooperative model - built over time. It is a privilege!
